FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I become an affiliate? The process
is quite simple. Send an e-mail to us using the form at the bottom of this page.
We will in return e-mail you:
- A Trymedia Systems Affiliate Agreement
- A Non-Disclosure Agreement
- A bank wire transfer form where we will send you your commission payments
- A link that allows you to frame our site Trygames.com
with over 250 PC games and software. All sales will automatically be affiliated
to you.
- A step-by-step integration guide
- A username/password so that you can monitor your sales in real-time in our
Online Reporting System
You send us the signed Affiliate Agreement, frame our site, promote and sell
our games, and we will wire your bank your commission payments.
How do users purchase games/software?
95% of the games and software we offer are available in a "Try-and-Buy"
format. Users download the games/software and try them. When their trials expire,
they are presented with the opportunity to purchase the full versions without
any additional downloads. Users may also buy any game/software before ever downloading
the free trial; we call this "Buy-and-Download," because the download
occurs after the purchase is made. Users can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard,
AMEX, Discover, Diner's Club, and JCB), personal check, money order, and PayPal.
Trymedia Systems supports transactions in most major foreign currencies.
If I frame your site Trygames.com, will the Trygames.com logo appear?
No. If you visit this example link, http://www.trygames.com/aff=f_example
(SAMPLE ONLY), you will see that we have removed the Trygames.com logo and top
banner to allow your users to enjoy a more seamless experience. Many of our
affiliates use this method with great success.
Do I have to frame your site? What if I want your catalog of games/software
in a different format or method?
We can also provide our catalog as a datafeed in the following formats: XML,
CSV (comma separated values), and Tab delimited. As you generate sales, we can
assist you with a more complete integration. If you have the internal programming
resources and desire to move immediately to a datafeed, please provide the same
personal/site information described above and indicate that you would like to
launch using a datafeed. We will in turn provide you with a personalized datafeed
link and with instructions. If you are not familiar with databases, XML, CSV,
or Tab delimited datafeeds, we highly recommend that you launch with a framed
site. We will always be happy to assist you to move to the next level in the
future.
Do I have to host any files or handle transactions?
No. Trymedia Systems hosts all games/software files, serves them to users,
manages the purchase, licenses the software to users' computers, and handles
customer service including technical assistance and refunds. All you have to
do is frame our site and earn commissions.
How do I keep my site up-to-date with new games/software?
If you are framing our site Trygames.com, it will be automatic. New games/software
are posted frequently to our shared site. Our staff continually monitors
sales and optimizes product positioning. If you elect to use our datafeed, you
will have access to continually updated files that will reside on our servers
that you can pull to your servers or key off directly.
What happens if I need set-up assistance?
Most of our affiliates are able to integrate with little or no assistance
from us. When you sign our Affiliate Agreement, you will receive a guide with
instructions and examples to help you create the framed site or access the datafeed.
If you have problems, e-mail us at trygames@trymedia.com
and an affiliate representative will assist you.
What should I do if my users have a problem with a game?
Trymedia Systems provides end-user support for any transaction issues or
problems with our licensing technology. Please send them this link: http://csc.trymedia.com/csc/start/publisher=/contentid=/offering=/affiliate=f_affiliates/index.html
We try to provide low-level gameplay support, but typically we need to refer
users directly to the software publishers. Trymedia Systems support is provided
online and via e-mail. In fact, it is common for our affiliates to receive only
a limited number of direct inquiries.
What is the difference between Trymedia Systems and Trygames.com?
Trymedia Systems is the parent company of Trygames.com.
