Popular Esport is going slots
One of the pioneering websites in the niche of esports and betting on the phenomena, GG.bet, is expanding their product to cater for the seemingly, insatiable desire for playing on slots.
There’s no denying esports is on the rise, every week there is a new tournament that attracts up to hundreds of thousands of viewers on the popular streaming platform Twitch. Despite doubts from those who do not yet understand the concept of esports and claim that it does not have the same potential in terms of engagement and that “it’s just video games”, esport is here to stay.
GG.bet was one of the first actors to create a dedicated platform for betting on esports and have since continued to grow into a major player on the market. With cleaver marketing campaigns, such as their sponsorship of the Swedish team Alliance, with whom they also co-created in-game skins for Dota 2 players, they have caught the interest of many betting-eager esport fans. They have also continually expanded their range of games that people can bet on to separate themselves from the heavy competition that has arised within esports betting niche.
Now they have taken their product one step further in the hopes of competing with online casino providers. Online slots have been implemented on the website. The slots work just like any other and offer some variety to the players who, until now have only been able to place bets on the website. There are a lot of different slots to choose from but the one thing separating them from other gambling sites is their slots with a gaming twist such as the “Ace Round” which is influenced by the popular game Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Iconic items from the game such as the smoke grenade, HE grenade and the fire grenade are all incorporated into the slot and add a fun twist to the experience. A downside of the slot is its lack of jackpot winnings, which will hopefully be implemented in a later stage.

Whether or not GG.bets closest competitor, EGB, and will follow in their footsteps is still a mystery but there are no indications that they will just yet. Other competing casinos/sportsbooks such as Betway have offered slots and other forms of casino games to their users for a long time and you can try most of the slots they (and GG.bet) offer right here on our website without any signup needed. But maybe this new niche will help GG.bet hold on to customers who are looking for a more complete product in their struggle against the largest casinos.
